Installing WP-Cache on Windows

WP-Cache is probably the most widely used caching plugin for WordPress. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support windows and numerous people failed with the installation. This article describes how to run WP-Cache on Windows.

CSS List Style Nightmare

While CSS and CSS2 support various ways of styling list items, the capabilities are still limited. list-style-type allows to select different predefined list styles (bullets, squares etc). list-style-image allows to select custom images. Unfortunately, no option to use custom characters exists.

WordPress MySQL5 compatibility

Seems WP2 is experiencing the same issues with stricter MySQL5 SQL rules as many other free software packages.

While videoDB should have it’s MySQL5 issues sorted out, WP2 is still struggeling, event with latest 2.0.1 release- although the issue has been open since december 2005.


Blog upgraded: WordPress 2.0.1

Quickly upgraded blog to WordPress 2.0.1, and while being at it installed SpamKarma 2 (including plugin for Akismet), as over the last days suddenly hundreds of comments where waiting for moderation. This should keep the blog clean and my attention focused.

Other interesting plugin no WordPress user should do without is Admin Drop Down Menu.
